If you've been in the shop lately I'm sure you've noticed there's been quite a change. We've known it was time for a new look but it was difficult to decide where to begin. Enter our beloved friend Vickee Schons. As soon as Kirsten mentioned her desire to freshen up the boutique, Vickee was off and running. The new, more modern aesthetic suits the shop perfectly and allows the clothes to speak for themselves. We couldn't be happier with the new feel and thought you should meet the woman behind the beautiful changes.

Vickee's love for design has been a lifelong passion. For 18 years she owned Emerald Design and Development with her design partner, MaryAnn Bauce. It was MaryAnn's "guttural sense of style" that inspired Vickee in fashion and design. So much so, that the name of their firm came from MaryAnn's beloved 30 carat Emerald cabochon ring. Could you imagine?! Years spent living part time in Palm Desert solidified Vickee's adoration of clean lined, vintage pieces so when she retired from the design firm it was no surprise that she began focusing her energy on finding unique, one of a kind pieces for her clients. This love for the hunt lead to the595project. Now Vickee describes herself as a "Custom Specifier" and works with clients to find or create the perfect piece to accent the home and is always looking for an "opportunity for a bit of whimsy." One look inside her stunning home and you understand immediately what she means. "Home is where you rest, nurture, create memories and pass on to your family a love for beautiful things," it should't feel forced or contrived. We feel the same about fashion; it should enhance your individuality and bring you joy.
Vickee was kind enough to open her beautiful home to us for an evening of swooning over her envy inducing curation of pieces, bubbles and laughter.

We are honored to call Vickee our friend and are continually impressed by not only her stunning sense of design and style, but her generous heart and beautiful warmth. We love you Vickee!
